Insider Patch Notes 2.8.2.1
Insider Update 2.8.2.1 is now live. With our May Build all good to go we will no longer be restricting the feature set, which means features like Guilds are now available once more for players to interact with and get creative.

Gameplay Improvements
*Rowboat Repairs *
- Rowboats docked to a Captain’s ship can now be repaired from the Shipwright for free! Leaving a session with a damaged rowboat will now also repair the rowboat when joining the next session.
*Cashing in Recovered Resource Crates *
- Crews who recover stolen resource crates are now able to sell them back to the Merchant Alliance or Sovereigns at any Outpost. Crews who purchase the crates are clearly still prevented from selling them back!
*Fruit Crate Improvements *
- Fruit Crates will now contain a variety of fruits, instead of just bananas.
Events
*Upcoming Captaincy Event *
- Various changes are afoot in the Sea of Thieves in preparation for a special upcoming event. Players may notice changes to the unlock requirements as well as a price reduction for certain Captaincy items.
Known Issues
*Video Playback *
- Videos played within the What’s New section may stutter during playback.
*Guilds of Gold *
- The Guilds menu currently contains placeholder text and imagery, players cannot interact with the Guilds feature set outside of these menus at the moment.
- Players cannot currently invite other members to their Guild or join a game as part of a Guild.
- Currently some players ships will not show their saved customisations on the ship preview page within the Guilds menu.
- If a player has two of the same ship type, the second will override the first's customisations with its own on the ship preview page within the Guilds menu.
Fixed Issues
*Captains of Adventure *
- When starting a session with a previously saved rowboat, the storage chest inside will now begin empty.
- Rowboats that become damaged while docked to a Ship will now visually show the damage prior to it being undocked.
*Guilds of Gold *
- When a member of multiple Guilds, navigating to the Guild Ships tab and back will no longer select a different Guild.
*Pirate Emporium *
- The Pocket Crab emote no longer appears multiple times within the Emporium menu.
- The icon for the Night Wulf Eye of Reach is now centered.
- The Crab Dab emote is no longer showing a sale price within the Assorted Emote Collection.
- The Monkey Dance Emote is now priced correctly.
*Text and Localisation *
- The action of delivering, giving and selling items is now more clearly translated when playing in Korean language.
*Performance and Stability *
- Improved server performance when large number of floating items are left at sea.
