Insider Patch Notes 2.8.1.4
Insider Update 2.8.1.4 is now live. Our newest adventure is still available for insiders to dig into, to get started players need to first head to any outpost and have a chat with Larinna to see what they can do to get started.

Known Issues
*‘A Dark Deception’ *
- This is an early preview of this new Adventure and therefore will still contain some placeholder text and imagery.
- Progressing through the Adventure, players will find that a few Deeds will not complete when performing the required criteria.
- As a few of the Deeds do not trigger, the Title cannot be obtained by the player for completing all deeds.
- The Pendragon’s Pocket Watch memento isn’t awarded correctly when the player completes the tale for the first time.
- The Checkpoint now triggers at the end of Chapter 2; however, the player is currently unable to start the tale from the checkpoint with Larinna.
- The Lever in the Secret Hideout doesn’t currently close the door on the first interaction but does close the door on the second interaction.
*Video Playback *
- Videos within the What’s New section currently do not play for players using the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app version of the game.
- Videos within the What’s New section may freeze or display a black screen when watching on Xbox One/ Xbox Series S.
Fixed Issues
*‘A Dark Deception’ *
- The under-construction ship is now visible even from a distance.
- Players can now interact with Madam Olivia when other members of their crew are far away from them but will be reminded that all crew members must be present to continue the adventure.
*Battle for the Sea of Thieves *
- The Win Streak icon now appears even if the player force closes the game and re-joins the session.
- Voting on the hourglass of fate will clear the captains table of tall tale quest checkpoints.
- When diving beneath the waves, players will no longer see strange light blue underwater visual effects in the distance prior to fading to black.
