Insider Patch Notes 2.7.2.2
Insider Update 2.7.2.2 is now live, coming at you with some more gameplay improvements - if you love flags but hate physical exertion, then we have just the thing for you! Players can now choose which flag they would like on their ship by selecting it from the menu at the Shipwright, just like you would for any other ship cosmetic. Try it out for yourself and let us know what you think.

Pirate Legend Voyages
Black Powder Stashes Balancing
- The chance of crews finding an Ancient Keg during a Black Powder Stash Voyage has been reduced.
- The Doubloon cost to purchase a Black Powder Stash Voyage has been increased to 50 Doubloons for a single Voyage and 250 Doubloons for a bundle of five Voyages.
Gameplay Improvements
Flags
- Tired of climbing up all the way to the Crow’s Nest? Players will now be able to equip flags from the Ship Customisation Chest at Shipwright shop in the same way as equipping other ship customisations.
Captain’s Logbook Interaction
- In order to interact with the Captains Logbook, players now need to press and hold for a second.
Known Issues
Skull of Destiny
- The first Skull of Destiny dug up on a new server does not display the correct visuals before being picked up.
Captains of Adventure
- The island icons shown in the Events Log when arriving at islands are not currently shown.
Pirate Loadout
- Players' default pirate cosmetics, emotes and shanties may be missing when starting a session.

Gameplay
Battle for the Sea of Thieves
- If both Crews choose to scuttle at the same time during a battle, both ships are moved to the sinking wreck sequence and moved to another server.
- All existing Shores of Gold tale book votes at an Outpost for a single crew are now removed when that crew joins a Faction.
Captains of Adventure
- Crews sinking a Champion Ship during a Battle for the Sea of Thieves will now find the Events Log records the correct rival ship that was defeated
- When the crew first arrives at an Outpost the Events Log will now show ‘Arrived at Outpost’ as intended.
Crews will no longer find their ship fails to release a Captain's Logbook when sinking, even when the server already contains many Ruined Logbooks.
The font within the Events Log has been changed to make certain characters look clearer.
Pirate Emporium
- The icon for the Labyrinth Looter Cannons has now been corrected to use the correct colour scheme.
- The Icon for the Mandrake Cannon flare has been updated to its finalised form.
Visual and Audio
- Players whispering using the Speaking Trumpet while using non-verbal chat will now find their message is only sent a short distance, matching the distance of a whispered voice
- Cycling through throwables using an assigned hot key will no longer cause the cannonball section on the players radial to disappear.
Performance and Stability
- Improved server stability to help prevent instances where using the harpoon could cause players to be disconnected from their session.
