# Insider Patch Notes 2.7.0.4

Insider Update 2.7.0.4 is now live. As the team works through feedback from the launch of Season Eight, this Insider’s update addresses a number of balancing improvements to both battles and the shared world experience. The Adventure ‘The Secret Wilds’ is still available for those wanting to help Tasha before it’s too late, simply speak to Larinna at any outpost to find out on what you can do to help.

## Game Events

**Festival of Giving**

* One of the Reaper’s Parrots is feeling very un-reaper like this year and has decided to bring the festive cheer by flying to various islands.
* Any players who are lucky enough to spot this sneaky parrot on their journey will be gifted the Orb of Scrying as a reward for this festive game of hide and seek.

**Grogmanay **

* Grogmanay is back once more! Collect the free Event Flag before taking on the preparatory duty of chugging tankards of grog.
* Players can also celebrate their participation in Grogmanay with an Annual Tankard. Each year, players who join in the festivities will earn another notch in their tankard!
* To end the night in style Festive and Grogmanay themed firework crates will be purchasable from the Merchant Alliance shop so that you can really end the night with a BANG!

## Gameplay Improvements

**Blunderbomb Power Balancing**

* Blunderbombs fired from a cannon now have a reduced area of effect range when exploding.
* Blunderbombs thrown or fired from a cannon now deal reduced damage to players, however, retain the same damage to emergent enemies.

**Reduced Blunderbomb Availability**

* Blunderbombs are now more scarcely discovered in island barrels, and when found fewer are found in a stack.
* Captains restocking at the Shipwright will find the throwables supply now contains less throwables and has been reduced in price to reflect the smaller contents.
* **‘Captains of the Damned’** - The number of throwables found during the Tall Tale has now been significantly reduced.
* **‘Dark Brethren’** - Crates found during the Tall Tale now contain far less Blunderbombs.

**Starting Ship Supplies**

* All ships will now start a session with additional cannonballs per barrel, increasing the Sloop stock to 60, with Brigantine and Galleon stocking 75.
* Ship defensive stocks have been increased with additional wooden planks, with all ships now holding 30 planks.
* Ships will now also find more plentiful banana stocks; all ships will now hold 32 bananas.

**Jettisoning Ship Supplies**

* When a ship now sinks, the resources held within the ship’s barrels now float to the surface in their barrels to be easily collected. Sinking another ship now offers simpler restocking options after a battle, while also giving crews who sink due to emergent encounters a chance to retrieve their hard-earned supplies!

**Fog Improvements**

* Fog banks can now be found in a range of sizes and can now appear in even more new locations across the seas.

## Captains of Adventure

**Captain’s Logbook Events Log**

* Captains will find their trusty Logbook now chronicles the ships endeavors each day, populating the pages with events the crew has encountered while sailing. At the end of each day the captain will bookmark the days efforts with a hand drafted image of a memorable moment from the day.

## Adventures

**Pendragon’s Sacrifice**

* Loyal followers of Flameheart can now revel in their victory by posing next to a new painting hung proudly in the Reaper’s Hideout.

## Known Issues

**‘The Secret Wilds’**

* This is an early preview of the Adventure and therefore may contain placeholder imagery, models and text.
* The Adventure will be removed from the players Captain’s table when migrating at Marauders Arch.
* Some of Briggsy's narration audio segments end abruptly.
* Players completing the Adventure will not currently unlock access to the Memento due to issues with some of the Adventure’s Deeds not ticking up correctly. The Memento will become available in a future Insider’s update.

**Battle for the Sea of Thieves**

* The Flag of Cursed Bone is not currently being rewarded to players after being unlocked.

**Captains of Adventure**

* Some event completion icons in the Voyager alignment are currently missing.

## Fixed Issues

**Gameplay**

* Players are once again able to fire the harpoon on their ship.
* Captains Logs dropped in the Devil’s Shroud area will be teleported to a safe area accessible to all.

**‘The Secret Wilds’**

* One of Larinna's dialogue options no longer contains a typo. 
* Briggsy’s name will now appear on Briggsy's narration subtitles.
* The sky timelapse effect will no longer not occur if the player does not have Briggsy's mask equipped at the time of the effect triggering.
* Briggsy will now appear in Briggsy's additional memory sequences.

**Battle for the Sea of Thieves **

* Crews should no longer encounter scenarios where after surfacing from beneath the waves, their cannons have strangely gone missing.
* Crews scuttling a ship as they are about to dive, will no longer cause them to become stuck below the waves.
* Players choosing to cancel matchmaking should no longer find their pirate unable to move for a short time.
* Players will be prevented from stepping off a docked Rowboat while travelling beneath the waves.
* Ships surfacing from the deep will now consistently see the sea appear correctly as they breach the water on the Brigantine and Sloop.
* The Milestones for earning Hourglass value no longer refers to Sands of Fate on both the Pirate and Ship Milestones.
* The Battle for the Sea of Thieves trinkets now have the correct Milestone name on their requirements.
* If a player joins a crew in progress after a battle has been cancelled, parts of the ship no longer appear and act like being underwater for the joining player.
* Water effects will now display correctly when surfacing even when it’s the first time on that server.
* Blessing prompt before meeting the requirements no longer incorrectly reads "Pirate Legends" instead of "Pirate Legend"
* The Pirate Lord’s dialogue when in the Athena’s Fortune Hideout is no longer missing punctuation.

**Pirate Emporium**

* The Soaring Oracle Costume now has a variant without the blindfold in the clothing chest after purchasing. 
* Certain actions such as emotes no longer cause the players eyebrows or forehead to intersect through the blindfold of the Soaring Oracle Costume.
* Icon and preview art for the Frostbite Speaking Trumpet and Frostbite bucket are no longer too close to the equipment in the shop and Player chest.

**New Golden Sands**

* Larinna’s placement is no longer intersecting into nearby wall.
* The Mysterious Stranger dialogue now appears after starting The Shroudbreaker Tale.
* Christmas decorations no longer intersect with the Tavern signage.
* Players can no longer walk through certain areas around the outside of the tavern
* Items placed on the Tavern bar will no longer intersect into the raised lip at the front.
* Players will no longer be blocked from using the stairs in the tavern.
* When players place down their pets, they will no longer appear to be underneath the stone floors.

**Captains of Adventure**

* Captains changing a ship’s banner, should now see the new banner after leaving the Shipwright chest.

**Visual and Audio**

* The repaired King Ransom Wheel no longer has untextured materials on the makeshift handles

**Performance and Stability**

* Improved server stability when using the Tunnels of the Damned.
