Insider Patch Notes 2.7.0.2
Insider Update 2.7.0.2 is now live. The Festive period has begun early for the citizens of the Sea of Thieves, festive decorations adorn the outposts and there’s even some jolly music to get you feeling in the spirit.

Outpost Cosmetics
Frostbite Equipment, Weapons & Ship
- The remaining parts of the Frostbite Set, including the equipment, weapons and ship parts are now available from the Outpost stores. These new items are locked behind the Commendations: ‘Humble Giving for Many’, ‘Generous Giving for Many’, ‘Humble Giving for All’ and ‘Generous Giving for All’.

Festive Decorations
- The Outposts have been decked out with festive decorations and jolly tunes can be heard from the taverns ready for the holidays.
Fixed Issues
Battle for the Sea of Thieves
- Players leaving the Ferry of the Damned at the same time as losing a battle will now find they consistently arrive in a new server along with their ship.
- Ships breaching the water for battle will now see water rushing across the deck of the ship.
- Players experiencing the Blessing of Athena will no longer see a glimpse of any held weapons during the end of the sequence.
- Crews successfully defending from an attacker will now be free to leave the fight at an Outpost even if they have only recently chosen a Faction.
- Crews diving beneath the waves for battle will now hear an improved ambient audio experience.
- Crews should no longer see duplicate Battle Banners appear if their rival leaves the game.
- Allegiance Streak visual effects can now be seen while travelling beneath the waves.
- The Hourglass of Fate ‘Change Faction’ prompt is now localised across a range of languages.
- Players performing emotes near the Pirate Lord in the extended Athena’s Hideout will now find the camera no longer becomes stuck.
- Players are no longer able to circumnavigate around the Athena’s Fortune Hideout and reach locked areas before they are eligible.
Captains of Adventure
- Players will now see a failure message when attempting to buy a ship stock from the Shipwright if their ship has become too full due to crewmates purchasing ship stock simultaneously.
Visual and Audio
- Ship’s mast receiving damage should now consistently display cracks, clearly indicating the need to repair.
- ‘Dark Brethren’ - During the intro of the final battle, Jack should no longer be seen floating in the air and his voice can now be heard.
Performance and Stability
- Purchasing items from the Outpost Vendors should no longer cause the title to become unstable.
- Improved server stability to reduces instances where players are disconnected from their session.
