Insider Patch Notes 2.6.3.6
Insider Update 2.6.3.6 is now live. The Rogue’s Legacy Adventure is back and ready for Insiders to test out once more, to get started chat to Larinna at any Outpost to see how you can help. The Sea of Bones is also still available to players to get involved in, to jump in, choose your Faction and unfurl your war map to get started.

Sea of Bones
Sea of Bones Scale Test
- Today is the day! Gather your crew, sharpen your blades, and prepare to put your PvP skills to the test and in return you will be handsomely rewarded when Season Eight launches in retail!
- The scale test will be split into two sessions; 4pm-7pm (UTC) and 11pm-2am (UTC). To take part players simply join a Faction of their choosing and unfurl their war map and dive into battle.
- Crews successful in battle during these scale test windows will earn one level of reputation in the represented Faction per win, up to a cap of five wins on each Faction. This reputation will be awarded to each player's main pirate in retail on the launch of Season Eight!
Adventures
‘The Rogue’s Legacy’
- The Adventure has now been re-enabled for players to take part in. To get started simply head to any Outpost and chat to Larinna on what you can do to help.
Gameplay Improvements
Selling Trident of Dark Tides
- Crews can now cash in a Trident of Dark Tides at their local Merchant, Sovereign or Hunter’s Call representatives in return for gold.
Shipwreck Improvements
- Sunken wrecks will now appear more frequently in areas of the sea between islands rather than the outer areas of the map, making them more easily discovered by crews during their journey.
Known Issues
Sea of Bones
- Players can sometimes become locked in a black loading screen after resurfacing from beneath the waves for an invader vs invader battle or after losing a battle and being taken to the sinking wreck sequence.
- Some player’s may fail to be moved to the sinking wreck sequence after losing a battle, if they are arriving on the Ferry of the Damned at the end of the battle.
- Resource crates will be removed from player’s hands if they are holding them whilst selecting to cancel an invasion.
‘The Rogue’s Legacy’
- This is an early preview of the Adventure and therefore may contain placeholder imagery, models and text.
- Deeds are currently not working as intended and will therefore not track accordingly to player's progress. Due to this, players will currently not receive Mementos for finishing the Adventure.
- Players can sometimes experience server instability when sailing to or using the mermaid to teleport to Plunder Outpost.
- The Skeleton Guardian Briggsy on Sunken Grove can sometimes fail to appear when multiple crews are attempting the Adventure at the same time.
Fixed Issues
Gameplay
- 'Swim up' can now be assigned to any key and not just the spacebar.
- When returning from the Sunken Kingdom, friendly merfolk carrying treasure will now resurface closer to the crew’s ship.
Sea of Bones
- When players resurface from beneath the waves they will no longer be placed in the red sea area.
- Gunpowder barrels will now have no effect on ships emerging from beneath the waves.
- Crews travelling through the Tunnels of the Damned for A Pirate's Life Tall Tales will now find the sea and sky appear correctly.
- Players that invade around a Legend of the Veil can no longer be teleported to an Outpost.
- Crews engaging with a Shipwreck Graveyard while being hunted will no longer cause the opposing ship to appear outside of the battle boundaries.
- The Hourglass of Fate hand in notification now uses finalised artwork.
- Players can no longer propose Tall Tales on the captain’s table when aligned to a Faction.
- The notifications for the Hourglass and war map are no longer using placeholder art.
- Players will no longer incorrectly be rewarded Emissary experience for sinking ships when aligned to a Faction.
- Players who lose in battle will no longer have their ship sinking still visible after they have entered the tunnel to be transported away.
- Players should no longer load in at an island if they fail to emerge from beneath the waves.
- The number of Faction titles shown on the Reputation pages now display the correct number
- The war map should no longer become stuck in a cancelling state.
- If a player loads into quickly when invading they will no longer resurface outside of the battle boundaries.
- Matchmaking times on the Hourglass are now correct.
- The map located in the reapers lair no longer displays the old Devil’s Shroud borders.
- Invaders will now resurface in different positions each time making it harder for opposing crews to guess their position and ambush them beforehand.
Sea of Bones – Cutscenes and Hideouts
- The Servant of the Flame’s dialogue has now been updated.
- Any weapons the player is holding before taking part in the ritual will no longer appear during the cutscene.
- The prompt to talk to the Voice of the Flame will no longer appear when a player is currently participating in the ritual.
- During the ritual or blessing cutscenes other players will no longer be able to talk to the involved NPCs.
- A typo in the chronicler dialogue has now been corrected.
- Glowing symbols on lift no longer play out their animation even if the player stops playing their instrument.
- The third person animations for the Reaper’s and Pirate Legend cutscenes now differ somewhat depending on the interacting players body type.
- The dialogue responses for Humerus are no longer switched.
- The lift audio in the Reaper’s Hideout no longer abruptly cuts out upon reaching the top of the hideout.
‘The Rogue’s Legacy’
- The option for gaining re-entry for the expanded Athena’s Fortune Hideout is now on the first page of options when talking to the Pirate Lord.
- Typos in Gloria’s dialogue have now been corrected.
- Larinna’s dialogue during both chapter one and chapter two now shows the correct text.
- Tasha's audio is no longer coming from the direction of Madam Olivia during the introductory sequence.
- Verdant Growth areas on Marauders arch should no longer flicker when moving around them.
- The Adventure will now fail if a key item sinks that would block progression.
- The Evil Eye artifact and Dice Box are now in the correct chests.
- The text on Olivia's note no longer overlaps or cuts off at the edges.
- Only one Adventure failed banner will appear now when selecting the Madame Oliva ‘fail Adventure’ option.
- Players must now confirm the decision when cancelling the Adventure.
- The correct Pirate Phrases are now shown when wielding Tasha's Enchanted Compass, Briggsy's Quest Book, Larinna's Mysterious Note, Briggsy's Dice, Madame Olivia's Checklist and all Quest Keys.
- The nonverbal options for Briggsy's Dice, the key of history, the key of awareness and the key of Hidden Truths are now correct.
- All eight journals can no longer only be interacted with from one direction.
- Players are no longer given one gold when choosing to start chapter two.
- The subtitles for when Madame Olivia is speaking is now correct.
- The nonverbal options for Briggsy's Dice are now correct.
- The key of Hidden Truths nonverbals are now correct.
- The key of awareness nonverbals are now correct.
- When using a new pirate, Madame Olivia will no longer have an extra dialogue option.
- The Player will no longer have the option to fail the adventure at Madam Olive when on chapter one.
- Madam Olivia no longer has her pre-adventure dialogue when speaking to her during chapter two.
- Larinna's dialogue header and options are now correct during chapter one.
Captains of Adventure
- When leaving and returning to the ship during the Trinket phase of the captaincy tutorial, the Pirate Lord will now be present for his voice-over.
- Completing quests from discovered Message in a Bottle in the Devils Roar will now progress "Devil's Roar Voyage Quests Completed" milestones.
- The Provisions Sold to the Hunter's Call Milestone now only progresses when provisions are sold.
Pirate Emporium
- The Ravenwood Capstan can now be lowered on all ship types.
Environment
- Players can no longer get stuck on the palm tree near Order of Souls tent.
Text and Localisation
- The Price of Ship Restoration is now displaying correctly in the shipwright's shop.
- Text across all languages is now displayed correctly within the Select Ship menu in the front-end.
- The scuttle ship notification shown when crews experience repeat deaths from other crews now displays text correctly across all languages.
Performance and Stability
- Scenarios where crews are stacking large amounts of treasure onboard a ship or having decorated an island now have optimised server performance, reducing latency, lag spikes, rubberbanding and server correction during gameplay.
