Insider Patch Notes 2.5.2.5

Insider Update 2.5.2.5 is now live.  As Season Seven approaches, the new cosmetics have arrived for Insider testing alongside further fixes and improvements to our upcoming ‘Lost Sands’ Adventure.

As always, if you encounter any bugs, then please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.

Season Seven

Season Seven Progression and Rewards

  • Progressing through the 100 levels of this Season will reward pirates with the Courage of Captaincy Clothing Set, new to Season Seven along with time-limited Perilous Seas cosmetics.
  • Pirates or those who become a Pirate Legend during Season Seven can also earn Merrick’s Jacket and the Merrick’s Cutlass.
  • Completing tiers of Seasonal progression will also award unique Titles, allowing players to display their success for all to see.

Insiders have a Renown accelerator applied, increasing the Renown earned to progress players much faster through this Season in order to gain the rewards for testing.

Captains of Adventure Technical Test

Trinkets

  • Players choosing to captain a Brigantine or Galleon will now find additional locations where trinkets can be placed.
  • Outside of a captain session, players inspecting a Galleon or Brigantine will find that a range of static dressing has now been removed to make way for players to customise using trinket locations.

Updates

Server Optimisation Technical Test

  • This Insider’s build contains an experimental change on the server, with the goal of improving server performance and reducing the frequency of spikes resulting in rubber banding experienced by players. The team will A/B test this optimisation during this update and monitor the performance behind the scenes.
