Insider Patch Notes 2.5.2.11

Insider Update 2.5.2.11 is now live. In the last Insider build before our June update, the listed Known Issues have continued to be worked on ahead of our final retail release. The Forsaken Hunter Adventure is still live for players to explore as well, just head to an Outpost and speak to Larinna to get started.

World Changes

*New Golden Sands Outpost *

  • The fog surrounding the New Golden Sands Outpost has been lifted and the lighting updated to more accurately reflect the outcome of the Lost Sands Adventure.
  • Crews will once again find themselves directed to the residents at New Golden Sands Outpost as part of Trading Company Voyages.

Known Issues

Forsaken Hunter

  • Chapter One will end abruptly when players pick up the note to Merrick at Stephens Spoils, without directing them further. To continue the Adventure, players should head to K9 and seek out Belle.
  • Players who have not yet completed the confrontation with the Masked Stranger cannot go back to the memory sequence stage of the Adventure. Players must confront the Masked Stranger to subsequently be offered the ability to replay the Adventure.
  • When all Deeds are completed and the Memento is awarded, crews will not currently receive a notification.

*Athena's Fortune Voyages *

  • Skeleton Captain images from Athena's Fortune Voyages are currently not displaying on quest parchments.

Skeleton Forts

  • Dying while trying to complete a Skeleton Fort can cause players to disconnect from the session.

Fixed Issues

Forsaken Hunter

  • The Deed requiring players to recover all pages of the Tattered Journal now tracks and updates when completing the criteria.
  • Writing on the note players receive from Larinna should no longer overlap for non-English languages.
  • Players should no longer be stopped from progressing with the Adventure after server migration.
  • Final artwork for the Adventure has been implemented.
  • Belle’s buoy is now appearing again at K9.

Pirate Emporium

  • The Pirate Emporium shopkeeper is no longer missing from New Golden Sands Outpost.

Environment

  • Players should no longer be able to walk through pillars next to the storeroom on Sea Forts.
  • The rug at Mercy’s End Sea Fort should no longer intersect with the floor inside the Fort.
  • Swimming between the broken bridge at The New Golden Sands Outpost will no longer launch players into the air.
  • Players should no longer be able to walk through wooden crates at Imperial Fortress, Traitor's Fate and Mercy’s End Fortress.
  • Players can no longer pass through the hanging barrels near the treasury room at Imperial Crown and Old Brimstone Fortress.
  • Interacting with the player portcullis should no longer cause the camera to pan up too high.

Visual and Audio

  • While holding an Instrument of the Damned, looking at smoke should no longer cause the smoke to appear in front of the instrument.
  • Whilst swimming underwater with the Pre-Historic Plunderer weapon set equipped, players should no longer see incorrect textures on the weapons.
  • The first figurehead equipped in a session will no longer display materials from the ship's hull.
  • Walking over wooden planks in the Old Brimstone Fortress will no longer produce a metallic sound instead of a wooden one.
  • Players should no longer see an option to sit mid-air when on the west side dock at Dagger Tooth Outpost.
  • Players should no longer encounter overly enlarged projectiles fired from a Trident of Dark Tides.
  • After passing through the Tunnels of the Damned, crews should find that other players discovered emergently in the world can still be muted when using ‘Mute all Other Crews Voice Chat’ from the settings menu.
  • The door to the pet cage aboard ships should no longer be detached from the cage.

Performance and Stability

  • Killing the final skeleton boss at the Skeleton Forts will no longer cause server instability.
