Insider Patch Notes 2.5.1.7
Insider Update 2.5.1.7 is now live. With new decorative options for captains, head to the Shipwright to try out these new ship customisations!

Captains of Adventure Technical Test
Ship Decoration
- Once aboard a Captain’s Ship, players will now be offered a new ship decoration tab alongside the existing ship livery option when visiting the ship customisation chest at any Shipwright.
- Within ship decoration, crews can now choose between a range of decorative cosmetics for their ship’s table, drapes, bed and tugs. Galleon crews can also change the chair, chandeliers and curtains.
For this Technical Test, all Insiders have been granted a selection of ship cosmetics to test out the new decoration options. As with previous tests, Insiders continue to only have access to Captain Galleons for testing.
Outpost Cosmetics
Eastern Winds Jade Set
- The Outpost shops now offer the remaining items from the Eastern Winds Jade Set. Players can now find the set complete with the newly introduced weapons, clothing and ship, available to purchase for gold.
Dark Adventurers Tattoo
- Pirate Legends can now purchase Dark Adventurers Tattoo from the Pirate Legend Hideout.
Known Issues
Disabling Trinkets
- Following the initial Technical Test for Trinkets, this feature has now been disabled while the team continue to work behind the scenes for a future Insiders update.
Ship Customisation Persistance
- While crew members can use the new ship customisation chest to apply a range of liveries and decorations to Captain Ships, these do not currently save across sessions.
Fixed Issues
Gameplay
- When playing through a Tall Tale, after interacting with a character and beginning a cutscene – moving away from those characters and returning will no longer cause the cutscene to stop and the character return to an idle state.
- When using the ‘Disable controller input on PC’ option, controller input will now be disabled entirely and no longer continue to be available in menus.
‘Shrouded Deep’
- All crew members who aid in summoning the Shrouded Ghost will now unlock the Deed within the Adventures menu.
Legend of the Veil Voyage
- Larger crews will no longer gain Athena’s Fortune Emissary Grade Progression at a faster rate when completing Quests within the Legend of the Veil.
- Sudds should now grant Puzzle Quest Maps at the start of his cutscene.
- During a Puzzle Quest Map, retrieving gold from an Ancient Chest now displays the correct notification.
- While navigating through a Shipwreck Graveyard, bubbles from an air pocket now display correctly within the Grim Fortune.
- Crews will now be able to locate buried treasure from Lying Maps on Devils Ridge.
- Dig spots on Devil’s Ridge now display an indicator when the location is underground.
Visual and Audio
- ‘Shores of Gold’ – During the Pirate Lords final cutscene, players should no longer find a tooltip when approaching him.
- After tiring out a fish while fishing, the fishing line once again appears loose indicating to the player that it is safe to reel in.
- Portuguese language is now spelt correctly in the language settings.
Performance and Stability
- Server stability has been improved, reducing scenarios where crews are removed from a game session.
