Improved Island Navigation
- Pirates have been busy around Thieves' Haven; crews will find the crumbling mechanisms of old replaced with new working versions allowing players to traverse the island more easily. Along with working mechanisms, keep a watchful eye out for any booby traps laid for unsuspecting pirates.
- Something feels different on Plunder Valley… New ladders have been placed around the island to aid players in reaching those high cliffs more easily.
- Watch your step on Kraken’s Fall, new ladders and makeshift bridges will allow pirates to make a death-defying leap to shortcut to the peak.
- Everyone’s favourite island Old Faithful has received some much-needed improvements allowing players to more easily traverse the difficult terrain including a few lifts to help players move vertically much more quickly.
Earning Quest Board Rewards
- When posting a buried treasure map, crews are free to continue their adventure or leave the server, receiving rewards for any completed maps while offline. Whether online or offline, when next joining the game, players will receive an improved set of notifications of Quest Map rewards followed by the Renown and Reputation.
- Crews who have placed Treasure Maps onto the Quest Board are now issued a Renown and Reputation reward as compensation if another crew retrieves a map and leaves the server or discards the map bundle.
Fireworks
- Fireworks will now cast brief patch of ambient light that will illuminate ships and islands close by, matching the colour of the explosion in the sky.
- Firework crates can now be sold back to the Merchant Alliance or be sold to the Reaper's Bones for a gold reward.
Island Enemy Encounters
- While exploring islands, crews who encounter and vanquish any dangerous Ocean Crawlers should now find a much longer respite period before they encounter Ocean Crawlers again on that island.
Known Issues
Grogmanay
- Players will receive two versions of the Grogmanay Annual Tankard rather than one Tankard that updates.
Pirate Emporium
- The Mutinous Mate Costume set is incorrectly named.
- The camera positioning for the Sea Dog Weapon Pose emotes are too low.
- The Boreal Aurora and Royal Revenge Cannon Flares are currently using a placeholder effect and is not representative of the final design.
- The Frozen Horizon Lantern has the incorrect default colour flame.
Burying Items
- It is possible for another crew to get the buried treasure map for an item you buried if they dig it up once before you bury it.
- Dropped map bundles can migrate with players but cannot be placed on the ship.
- Items that are partially buried when a player dies cannot be fully buried unless they are fully dug back up again.
- The crew toasts for digging up items from player generated or Voyage maps are now only seen if in close proximity of the player who dug up the item.
Fireworks
- Fireworks have a chance to not fire from a cannon.
- Migrating across servers while a Firework’s fuse is lit causes it to be unusable when arriving on the new server.

- When a Firework is held by a player, it is not shown in the correct position in the hand.
Sitting & Sleeping
- Players do not currently drown when sleeping underwater and are also not removed from a seating position when the ship sinks.
- When a player is sitting their pirate does not sit on surfaces correctly.
