Insider Patch Notes 2.2.0.3

Insider Update 2.2.0.3 is now live. Check out the Outpost Shops and see what is new in stock before heading out on the seas to participate in July’s Event – The Pirate Games!

Updates

Hit Registration

  • In today's build, there will be a minor, unseen change to bullets and how they're treated from moving ships and rowboats. This change is related to specifically how the game calculates the trajectories of bullets.
  • We've fixed an issue where changes to the velocity of your ship could affect a bullet after it is fired (including changes to the ship induced by bobbing in waves). This fix should make the bullet paths more predictable and generally fly more like you would expect them to.

Outpost Cosmetics

  • The Thriving Wild Rose Set is now available in Outpost stores, locked behind the “Always Yours” commendation and the Hardy Ruffian Sea Dog Clothing is also available at Outpost stores too. 

Known Issues

The Pirate Games

  • The hurling challenge will not tell a player that they need to throw a bucket of sick on an enemy pirate.
  • There is a range of placeholder imagery and text.

Pet Naming

  • Players on Xbox are unable to rename their pets within the Pet Chest.

Tunnels of the Damned – Rejoining a Session 

  • While travelling through the Tunnels of the Damned, losing your connection to the game and rejoining may cause visual issues, causing the migration to the new area to fail and return you to your starting location.

Plunder Pass Reward Unlocking Issue

  • Players who have purchased the Season Three Plunder Pass may find that rewards are not immediately unlocked when the appropriate level of seasonal progression is reached. Logging out and back in should resolve this, causing the unlocked item to appear in the relevant chest.

A Pirates Life Tall Tales

  • ‘The Sunken Pearl’ – Players can raise the water level higher than intended and flood the whole shrine.
  • ‘The Sunken Pearl’ & ‘Dark Brethren’ – When a door to an encounter is locked and players have to wait, it doesn't display a prompt to tell the player the door is locked.

New Tall Tale Commendations – Tale Visibility

  • Players can browse Commendations for ‘The Sunken Pearl’ and ‘Dark Brethren’ Tall Tales before they have completed the preceding Tale. To prevent the experience from being spoiled, avoid reading ahead!

Ranged and Melee Weapon Hit Detection 

  • In areas of intense action, players may find themselves firing shots or landing strikes that do not cause damage to their targets. While improvements continue to be delivered during our content updates, this remains a key priority for the team. 

Trade Route

  • Purchased crates do not become locked.

Outpost Cosmetics

  • The “Thriving Wild Rose” Flag is not shown on Brigantine after equipping it.

Fixed Issues

General

  • Emotes in the Captain Jack Sparrow Emote Bundle are now purchasable separately. 
  • During the Maiden Voyage there should now be a 'Climb Ladder' button while on the ship's crow's nest of the fallen mast.
  • During Fort of the Damned, Graymarrow should no longer get stuck in a tree.
  • The Trident of the Dark Tides explosion VFX should now fire correctly and not rotate if it hits an AI enemy as they are turning.
  • The water VFX at the small waterfall on Shark Bait Cove should now always be visible.
  • Players should no longer be able to teleport to the Arena tavern from Athena's Fortune using a hole in the environment under the waterfall at end of the cave.
  • Players are no longer able to skip reload on weapon by using an ammo box.
  • During Glitterbeard, skeletons should no longer be able to walk above the hideout. 
  • Sirens should no longer get stuck when approaching the target of their melee attacks if the target is swimming away from them. 
  • Masts should no longer get into an unfixable state where you can't repair it until you drop it and raise it again 

The Pirate Games

  • Players should now receive their gold reward after completing a Deed.

Shipwright

  • The Merchant Alliance Cannons should no longer appear as the Merchant Ambassador Cannons when equipped.

‘A Pirate’s Life’ Tall Tales

  • ‘The Sunken Pearl’ – There should no longer be a hole in the terrain near the coral on the right-hand side of the room in the Silver Blade room.
  • ‘The Sunken Pearl’ – There should no longer be hidden gaps in the wall in the Citadel entrance.
  • ‘The Sunken Pearl’ – Players should no longer fall through the Silver Blade if they try and board it after failing the Silver Blade encounter.
  • ‘The Sunken Pearl’ – There should no longer be a gap under the one of the stone faces in the Throne Room that allows players to get out of the room.
  • ‘The Sunken Pearl’ & ‘Dark Brethren’ – Players should now see a prompt when approaching a pulley that is disabled for a period of time.
  • ‘The Sunken Pearl’ – If a player takes the Chest of Everlasting Sorrow past the Silver Blade encounter room, it will no longer be destroyed. 
  • ‘Captains of the Damned’ – Players should now have a better understanding of where to hand in the Villagers' Valuables.
  • ‘Dark Brethren’ – Using the organ should no longer possibly crash a player’s game.
