Insider Patch Notes 2.2.0.2

Insider Update 2.2.0.2 is now live. Check out the Special Events tab and take a look at the new Event for July, The Pirate Games! There are also a range of fixes and improvements to the experience following your player feedback.

Events

The Pirate Games

  • Introducing The Pirate Games! This is an event themed around the Olympics and will be full of piratical challenges and daring trials for every pirate to compete in.
  • Throughout this event players will be given a new challenge every day starting Friday 23rd July to Sunday 8th August. From Monday the 9th of August players will be able to complete previous deeds they may have missed and for this Insider’s build, all deeds will be available to complete.
  • Completing these Deeds will reward players with a significant amount of gold.

Known Issues

The Pirate Games

  • There is a range of placeholder imagery and text.

Pet Naming

  • Players on Xbox are unable rename their pets within the Pet Chest.

Tunnels of the Damned – Rejoining a Session

  • While travelling through the Tunnels of the Damned, losing your connection to the game and rejoining may cause visual issues and cause the migration to the new area to fail, returning you to your starting location.

Players falling through their Ship

  • After starting a Tall Tale, there is a chance that the crew will be unable to board their ship and will fall through the geometry into the sea. Players experiencing this issue should leave the game and start a new session.

Plunder Pass Reward Unlocking Issue

  • Players who have purchased the Season Three Plunder Pass may find that rewards are not immediately unlocked when the appropriate level of seasonal progression is reached. Logging out and back in should resolve this and cause the unlocked item to appear in the relevant chest.

New Tall Tale Commendations – Tale Visibility

  • Players can browse Commendations for ‘The Sunken Pearl’ and ‘Dark Brethren’ Tall Tales before they have completed the preceding Tale. To prevent the experience from being spoiled, avoid reading ahead!

Ranged and Melee Weapon Hit Detection

  • In areas of intense action, players may find themselves firing shots or landing strikes that do not cause damage to their targets. While improvements continue to be delivered during our content updates, this remains a key priority for the team. 

‘The Sunken Pearl’ & ‘Dark Brethren’ Tall Tales

  • When a door to an encounter is locked and players have to wait, it doesn't display a prompt to tell the player the door is locked.

Trade Routes

  • Purchased crates do not become locked.

Shipwright

  • The Merchant Alliance Cannons are appearing as Merchant Ambassador Cannons when equipped.

Fixed Issues

General

  • At Sanctuary or Golden Sands Outposts there should no longer be any clipping near the target shield hanging by the Outpost weapon shop.
  • Wooden towers on Marauder’s Arch should be able to be viewed correctly even when players are at a distance.
  • There is no longer an invisible wall blocking the entrance to the tunnel on the unnamed Island at K9.
  • At Athena's Fortune Hideout, players should now safe teleport near the entrance to Athena's Fortune Hideout correctly.
  • Players should no longer be able to clip their camera through rocks located at E2.
  • During Arena, the broken mast on the Sea Dog Seaposts should now have appropriate collision.

‘A Pirate’s Life’ Tall Tales

  • ‘A Pirate’s Life’ – The prison dog's collision audio should no longer remain after he disappears.
  • ‘A Pirate’s Life’ – Taking the prison dog’s keys while holding an object should no longer cause the keys to be lost.
  • ‘The Sunken Pearl’ – The wooden board in the Silver Blade Chamber should no longer be floating and should be attached to the ship.
  • ‘The Sunken Pearl’ – Players should no longer get stuck in the Throne Room if they enter after a crew member has already completed the encounter.
  • ‘The Sunken Pearl’ – The compass should point you towards the Sliver Blade capstan.
  • ‘Dark Brethren’ – The animation of the waterfall in the Chamber of Sorrow should now correctly play at all times.
  • ‘Lords of the Sea’ – Ghost Ships destroyed by Jack Sparrow should no longer count as destroyed by the player.
  • ‘Lords of the Sea’ – The Flying Dutchman should no longer be missing collision on the back side of the ship.
  • ‘Lords of the Sea’ – Crashing into the Sunken Pearl at the end of tale should now cause damage to players ships and audio should be present.
