The Sunken Kingdom
Coral ‘Message in a Bottle’ Voyage
- As the Sunken Kingdom emerges from the depths, new items have begun washing up on shore across the Sea of Thieves. The familiar glint of a bottle may now lead crews to a Coral Message in a Bottle, inside holding a Voyage leading player’s down to the Sunken Kingdom to discover the riches beneath the waves. For this Insiders build the availability of Coral Message in a Bottle Voyages has been increased to enable wider testing coverage – this is not representative of the final balance.
- Following these into the depths, crews can uncover a mysterious treasure that can only be obtained from these Voyages – the Breath of the Sea.
Breath of the Sea
- Venturing into a Siren Shrine or Siren Treasury via a Voyage will reward players with the mysterious Breath of the Sea. Expect to have to fight for these new treasures as Ocean Crawlers and Sirens will protect them with their lives.
- Once in your possession, the Breath of the Sea can be handed in to any Trading Company for a large and generous reward, making these valuable for any crew on the sea! These alluring new treasures are derived from the same power held inside Mermaid and Siren Gems. Players can find three different rarities, each offering greater rewards: Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire.
Coral Treasures
- Exploring the Siren Shrines and Sire Treasuries will reward crews new Coral Treasures for their exploration. Coral Skulls can be returned to the Order of Souls, Caskets to the Merchant Alliance, Coral Chests to the Gold Hoarders and various Siren Gems which can be returned to any Trading Company Representative.
- Crews can even find Coral Treasure Chests which can contain Coral artifacts for returning to the Gold Hoarders.
Known Issues
Coral ‘Message in a Bottle’ Voyages
- While progressing the Voyage, the image of a plinth where players can locate the Breath of the Sea is incomplete. Instead, search for a large red coral plinth usually located towards the end of the Shrine.
- A Coral Message in a Bottle Voyage directing players to the Shrine of Ocean's Fortune will not reward a Breath of the Sea on completion.
Breath of the Sea
- The Breath of the Sea cannot currently be sold to the Order of Souls, Merchant Alliance, or Hunter's Call.
- Selling the Breath of the Sea to the Reaper Bones does not reward the correct value.
Sunken Kingdom
- Coral Treasure located deep within the Siren Shrines and Siren Treasuries currently have placeholder reward values when cashed in and are not representative of the final balance.
- When progressing through a Siren Shrine with mechanisms, the mechanisms may not reset for subsequent crews on completion.
- Players may be unable to pick up small loot items from within the Shrines and Treasuries.
- ‘Shrine of Hungering’ – The first AI enemy encounter does not spawn at the correct time and players must leave and return to continue through the Shrine.
- ‘Shrine of Hungering’ – The water levels are not resetting correctly after completing the first Siren puzzle.
- ‘Shrine of Hungering’ – The geyser at the top of the Shrine no longer fires you into the top room above, leaving players unable to complete the Shrine.
- ‘Shrine of Hungering’ – Any loot that spawns on the far ledge before the last chamber can't be picked up.
- ‘Shrine of Hungering’ – Ocean Crawlers can walk through the Siren Window.
- ‘Treasury of the Sunken Shores’ – If there are more than four players in the Treasury of the Sunken Shores, the players will not be able to progress.
- ‘Treasury of the Sunken Shores’ – Hermit’s can burrow outside of their intended combat area.
- ‘Treasury of the Sunken Shores’ – Air giving plants found around the Shrine do not currently provide air for players.
- ‘Treasury of the Sunken Shores’ – Sirens can attack and pass through the closed Siren Door.
Sunken Treasure Merfolk
- After migrating servers, players will not be able to collect their stored treasure from the Merfolk as the Merfolk will not spawn.
- When putting a treasure chest in the Sunken Merfolk Statue, the gold and loot that spawned inside treasure chest will disappear when retrieved on the surface.
- While Merfolk are waiting on the surface, it will currently display a placeholder Reaper’s Bounty icon on the Ship’s Map.
Tunnels of the Damned
- While travelling through the Tunnels of the Damned, losing your connection to the game and rejoining may cause visual issues, causing migration to the new area to fail and return you to your starting location.
- The Megalodon can spawn in the Tunnels of the Damned.
Pirate Emporium
- The Pirate Emporium mistakenly offers the Barrel Disguise emote for purchase with Ancient Coins.
Jewels of the Deep Event
- The ‘Collector of Cursed Gems’ title will tell the player that they earn the title by handing in Gems and Siren Gems instead of earning Renown.

- ‘Dark Brethren’ – Players should no longer be able to gain access to the Coral Fortress from the outside by firing themselves out of a cannon.
- ‘Lords of the Sea’ – Objects/treasure should now be able to be placed correctly on the deck of The Black Pearl at the end of the Tale.
- ‘Lords of the Sea’ – Davy Jones should now have the correct voice over lines for commenting when a player/crew sails away and returns to the battle.
