Insider Patch Notes 2.10.2.2
Insider Update 2.10.2.2 is now live. Insiders have the opportunity to try out the all-new Bone Caller Throwable and Owl pets in the Pirate Emporium. Ziplines across the map now feature set dressing to ensure they look like a natural part of the scenery. Additionally, the Double Barrel Pistol has made its return for testing purposes in this latest build.

Season 12
Bone Caller
- Introducing the legendary Bone Caller - a mystical throwable that possesses the power to summon a friendly Skeleton crew comprising of three crewmates, making it a powerful tool that can be utilised in both offense and defensive encounters.
*Double Barrel Pistol *
- The time taken to pull back the hammer on the second shot has been decreased allowing a faster charged shot.
- Reload times have been improved to match the animation lengths for both single and dual bullet reloads.
Ziplines Update
- The latest update will bring a revamp to the Ziplines in Adventure mode, ensuring that they blend seamlessly with their surroundings in the Sea of Thieves. The changes will first be implemented at Ancient Spire Outpost and The Crooked Masts, with plans to extend the updates to other locations in future updates.
Scattershot
- The maximum range of Scattershots has been slightly increased, and the spread pattern when fired has been slightly reduced.
Pirate Emporium
Owl Pets
- We're thrilled to share that in the upcoming April update, Owl pets will be added to the Pirate Emporium! Insiders can choose from 5 different variations.
These new feathered friends will appear in Insider’s Pet Chests within this Insider update.
Updates
Pirate Emporium Local Currency Purchasing
- With the integration of a new platform on the horizon and shopping improvements in the works for the Pirate Emporium, this update removes a lesser-used feature that provided players with the ability to make purchases within the Pirate Emporium directly using their local currency.
Known Issues
Captain’s Logbook
- The Captain's Logbook is currently not present on the Quest Table during Captained sessions, preventing progress through the tutorial.
Throwing Knives
- The Heavy attack animation for the Throwing Knives currently does not show when the player uses the Heavy Melee attack while underwater.
Fixed Issues
Gameplay
- The ‘Hoarder of Lost Artefacts’ Commendation should no longer progress when selling artefact items at the Reaper’s Hideout.
Harpoon Tightropes
- First-person animations will now play correctly for players using all pirate body types.
- Cutlass dodging animations now play correctly after repeated dodging while on a Harpoon Tightrope.
The Horn of Fair Winds
- Renown is now rewarded as intended when selling the Horn of Fair Winds.
- The Horn of Fair Winds ‘blowing’ visual effect now animates correctly.
Double Barrel Pistol
Both hammers on the Double Barrel Pistol now animate correctly.
Kill notifications are now displayed as intended.
The 'Full of Metal!' Commendation now unlocks as intended.
Firing sound effects are now present when firing the first two loaded bullets and shooting a charged shot.
Players are no longer regaining ammo charges without using an Ammo Crate after firing the Double Barrel Pistol.
Solo Seas
- Xbox players without a Game Pass subscription that receive a Beard Error will no longer become stuck in a state where they cannot access Solo Seas.
Pirate Emporium
- The Mad Monkey Essential Ship Bundle now appears at the correct price.
Environment
- The Pirate Legend Hideout no longer features phantom flames floating near the front entrance.
Visual and Audio
- The bubble visual effects will now play correctly when players are sprint-swimming.
- Devil's Ridge maps should now display the entirety of the island including the little islets on the sides.
- The Lantern Dance Emote preview now displays the correct flame colour.
- Players’ ships will no longer appear duplicated or out of place a moment before surfacing for an Hourglass battle.
- 'The Shroudbreaker’ - The Mysterious Stranger's animation will appear smoother during cutscenes and there will no longer be a miniature tankard present during cutscenes.
- After dodging multiple times with a blocking Cutlass, the player’s sword arm will no longer become stuck in place and will now continue to animate smoothly.
Text and Localisation
‘The Legend of Monkey Island’ - Several instances of overlapping text in the Tall Tale Quest Books and other written materials in these Tales have been resolved in the German translation.
Ship names using the max character length and all caps will no longer overflow onto the Ship Title and ship image when viewed in the Captain’s Logbook.
Subtitles for Tasha’s dialogue no longer contain a duplicated word.
Performance and Stability
- The game will no longer crash during the first loading screen when played on Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
- Improved server stability to avoid instances where players are disconnected from their session.
