Insider Patch Notes 2.10.1.5
Insider Update 2.10.1.5 is now live. As we approach our March update, this stabilisation build is representative of the feature set we intend to deliver in March and therefore we need your support as we prepare our final release build.

Updates
Legendary Message in a Bottle
- Insiders are once again invited to participate in testing the functionality of our Legendary Message in a Bottle quests. These quests may appear randomly in shipwrecks and on the shores of any island in High Seas mode (excluding Outposts) during this Insider build.
Virtual Keyboard Support
- Players summoning the Virtual Keyboard inside the game will now find that a range of new languages are supported. The keyboard now supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean and Russian.
Known Issues
Weapon Slots
- Insiders who had either the Throwing Knives or the Double-Barrelled Flintlock weapons equipped in the previous Insider build will find that they do not have access to that weapon slot during this Insider build.
Fixed Issues
Gameplay
- Phantoms should now be able to hit stationary players with their lunge attack.
- Using the harpoon to bring treasure aboard your ship will now ensure the Gold Hoarder Tutorial progresses as intended.
- The text prompt to ‘Use Quest Table’ is no longer visible when a Voyage is active.
Solo Seas
- Players without an Xbox Game Pass subscription are no longer able to accept invites and join High and Safer Seas sessions when invited by a player with an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
- Solo Seas players are no longer able to invite other players into their crew, as intended.
Visual and Audio
- Phantoms performing their teleport attack will now be visible as they prepare to attack.
- Phantoms performing their lunge attack will now appear to travel smoothly towards the player.
- Continuously heavy striking a Skeleton Captain will now cause it to visually stumble backwards each time without sliding.
- The Capsize Charters tent is now present on buried treasure maps.
- The Maestro Banjo icon has been resized so that the item is no longer cut off at the top.
- Chest keys will no longer appear to merge with pirates’ hands.
- The Reaper’s Heart Equipment Bundle now appears with the correct artwork.
- Jumping while holding a Fishing Rod will no longer cause animation errors.
- The Flourishing Wild Rose Sails should now equip successfully on Sloops or Brigantines.
- The Gold Curse Whippet icon has been updated to appear less bright.
- Voyage card artwork is now present in all Outpost Trading Company Shops.
Text and Localisation
- Merchant Crates will now have consistent naming and will all begin with 'Crate of' on labels.
- ‘A Pirate's Life’ - The name of the character who is speaking is now present as intended on all of the Cursed Captain's subtitles during chess game interaction.
- 'Wild Rose’ - Madame Olive's subtitles are all present and complete, as intended.
Performance and Stability
- Improved server stability to avoid instances where players are disconnected from their session.
- Players should no longer experience long loading screens during this build.
- Ongoing improvements made to client and server performance, reducing the frequency of high ping spikes, desync and rubberbanding while playing.
