Insider Update 2.10.1.4 is now live. In this latest Insider build, players will have the chance to try out an exciting new weapon - the throwing knives! Insiders are encouraged to assist the development team in testing a pre-release version of a fresh Voyage, while a batch of Outpost cosmetics arrives on the shores for March.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Throwing Knives
This new weapon in the Armoury comes as a set of five small knives, which players can wield one at a time when equipped and are restocked from an Ammo Chest.
Wielding a throwing knife allows players to stab enemies with a melee attack or charge for a downward striking blow.
Players can also throw them for a high damage ranged attack and have five knives at their disposal. If a thrown knife misses its target, it will become lodged in the environment and can be recovered to replenish the player’s stock. Be aware though that another player can also retrieve the misthrown knife and use it against you!
Limited Voyages
Limited Voyages are unique Voyages that players will be given as part of events and can be limited in terms of how long players have to complete them, how many uses they have or a combination of these.
Insiders are invited to help us test the functionality of this early iteration of this type of Voyage; whether the Voyages are given out correctly and have the correct limitations on them, and any other functional feedback only.
Please note that quest content is entirely placeholder for this functionality test. Insiders are reminded to give feedback on the functionality of these quests rather than their content/gameplay.

Throwing Knives
Knives can stick into surfaces at all angles and stick into each other.
When players have no knives remaining, they will still see a knife in their pirate’s hand, which is unintended.
Animations are not currently finalised which is causing several visual issues. These have been detailed in the feedback thread.
