Insider Patch Notes 2.10.1.1
Insider Update 2.10.1.1 is now live. Within this build, Insiders are invited to try out the new Message of the Day feature and give us their feedback on some updates to the Scattershot projectiles (formerly known as the Grapeshot), which is due to be released in Season 12. We also have some exciting changes to harpoons for Insiders to test.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the
Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Gameplay Improvements
Tightrope Walking
- Players sinking a harpoon line into a rock, beach, tree or even ship can now climb on and tightrope walk down the line, keeping balance as they go!
Scattershot Update
- The Grapeshot has now been renamed to the Scattershot and a few changes have been made to it following Insiders’ feedback.
- When a Scattershot breaks apart, the smaller cannonballs now blast a little higher to improve visibility of where they land. While they are now more visible, the spread pattern has been compressed to prevent stray cannonballs travelling too low or too high.
- Damage dealt by the Scattershot’s blast has been capped, preventing repeated shots to the same location from creating tier 3 damage holes.
- The availability of these items in storage containers has also been reduced to match the intended rarity.
Updates
Message of the Day
- This Insider build introduces a new ‘Message of the Day’ feature, which will be used to highlight upcoming content, new features and other exciting news within the world of Sea of Thieves.
