Insider Update 2.0.7.4 is now live! We are continuing to iterate on the ‘Fort of the Damned’ encounter as we address internal and Insider feedback from play testing. Grab yourselves a Bounty Voyage from Duke and head out to the Fort to check out the latest changes!
If you do encounter any bugs, then please head to the
Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Fort of the Damned
- Fort of the Damned Vault Rewards – Taking on the Shadows of Fate and facing off against the Ghost of Graymarrow has now become even more lucrative for players. The Fort of the Damned vault has been stacked with fresh high-value rewards to tempt players from across the sea.
- Fort of the Damned Balancing – The Fort of the Damned encounter has been updated with an initial balancing pass. Graymarrow no longer teleports and has his knockback effects balanced for the close proximity of the fort environment. The number of Shadow of Fate Skeletons that can spawn during final wave has also been reduced to allow crews to focus more effort on taking down the ghostly captain.
- Fort of the Damned Achievements – A range of Xbox Achievements have been added to the Fort of the Damned Update from unlocking in-game Commendations. A total of 35 Gamerscore is available to earn from this update and these Achievements will persist in the game for future updates.
‘A Spectrum of Shadows’ [5G]
‘Summoning the Damned’ [5G]
‘Defeating the Damned’ [10G]
‘Banishing the Damned’ [15G]
While Insiders are unable to unlock these achievements in the Insider Build of the game, we’re including them here for visibility on the update!
- ‘Ferryman’ Set References – To avoid confusion between the previously released ‘Ferryman’ cosmetic set, in game references to the new cosmetics have been changed to ‘Ferryman of the Damned’.
- Ferryman of the Damned Rewards – The Outpost clothing store has been stocked with a selection of new Ferryman of the Damned themed cosmetics to celebrate the Festival of the Damned. Players can dress up as their favourite eternal ferryman with these new cosmetics. All Ferryman of the Damned Rewards will become a permanent addition to the world after the Fort of the Damned update.
Fire
- Firebomb Damage Balancing – Firebombs now deal a small amount of Impact Damage to Players, Skeletons, Megalodons and Krakens.
- Firebomb Stocking – In Adventure, Firebombs will now be found inside Cannonball Barrels located on your Ship when you begin your session, or you receive a new ship!
Updates
- New Hair Dyes – The Outpost Clothing Stores now stock a range of colourful hair dyes for you to pick from.
- New Two-Tone Hair Dyes – Pirates with access to the Pirate Legends Hideout can purchase a range of Two-Tone Har Dyes from the Legend Hideout Store. You do not need to be a Pirate Legend yourself to purchase these, however you’ll need to find a Legend to at least let you inside!
- Rag & Bone Crates – Following the events of ‘Smuggler’s Fortune’, Rag and Bone crates have begun washing up on the shores allowing crews to continue unlocking the persistent Commendations. These can still be sold back to Duke for 5 Doubloons and no longer have a Delivery Time requirement.
- Reaper’s Chest Payout – Players will now be rewarded with 25 Doubloons on cashing in a Reaper’s Chest!
- Sword Swing Distance – The distance a Sword Swing can reach has been reduced.
- Sword Bunny Hopping – Following Insider Feedback, the recent changes to prevent bunny hopping after a Sword dodge has now been removed.
- Arming the Sea Dogs Tavern Exterior – In Adventure, Ammo Crates have been added to the Sea Dogs Tavern Exterior. This should improve the Pace of combat for Crews choosing to defend this landmark.
- Sea Dogs Tavern Exterior Challenge Route – In Adventure, Modifications have been made to the Reverse Challenge Route to make it a little less punishing.
- ‘Shores of Gold’ Breaking through the Shroud – On retrieving the Shroudbreaker from Grace and plotting your course into the Devil’s Shroud; players will now find a revised visual and audio experience as the pass through the mystical barrier hiding the Shores of Gold from the rest of the world.
