Insider Patch Notes 2.0.18.14

Insider Update 2.0.18.14 is now live! With our October Update fast approaching we have made some further fixes and changes to Fate of the Damned, get your hands (or hooks?) on a Voyage from Larinna and head out to vanquish the frightful foe!

If you encounter any bugs, then please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.

Known Issues

Fate of the Damned

  • Failing or cancelling a Fate of the Damned Voyage will place it back in the quest proposal menu.
  • Completing either the Duke’s or Devil’s Roar Voyage will return to the quest inventory menu.
  • Fate of the Damned Voyages have placeholder text in the Black Market.

  • Fate of the Damned rewards have placeholder text in the Black Market when using non-english language settings.

Weapon Effects

  • When firing and reloading the Pistol and Blunderbuss, a flicker can be seen during the animation.
  • When firing the Eye of Reach, the audio effects do not match the reloading animations. Switching to an item can also cause the reload audio to play on the newly switched item.

Fixed Issues

General

  • When a player has acquired the maximum amount of food items, the number shown should now be marked in red.
  • When launching Sea of Thieves through Steam it should no longer crash due to a missing or corrupt data file from the Pirate Emporium.
  • Camera movement should now feel smooth when using the mouse and keyboard on Xbox consoles.
  • When at Ancient Spire Outpost, players should now safely teleport to the intended location.
  • Firebombs should now deal consistent damage to animals.
  • Defeating a Megalodon should cause it to drop treasure.

Fate of the Damned

  • The Devil’s Roar Voyage card should now have an icon text in the top corner when proposing a Voyage.
  • Graymarrow's nameplate should now only be visible after he has spawned.

Arena

  • When in Arena, players should now receive pop-ups and banners about digging, selling chests, sinking ships, teams and ending contests. Also, background jingles should play as usual.

The Soulflame Captain and Crew Costume

  • The second crew costume no longer gives the pirate a bald line around the eyepatch, the hair should go over the back of the eyepatch so the strap cannot be seen.

Challenges of the Damned

  • When completing Challenges there should now be a pop-up to show that the Soulflame Weapons have been acquired.
  • Stronghold Skulls, Barrels & Crates should now correctly count towards ‘Stronghold Sharefest’.
