Insider Patch Notes 2.0.18.11

Insider Update 2.0.18.11 is now live! Head out onto the seas with your Fate of the Damned Voyages to defeat Graymarrow and his colourful skeleton army.

Fate of the Damned

This Insider build continues to introduce work in progress elements for the Fate of the Damned feature set. For more context on this update, check out the recent Developer Update along with this build’s Feedback thread for where to direct your testing!

Fate of the Damned

  • The Shadows of Fate ambushes during the Fate of the Damned Voyages have been made a little easier, and the number of skeletons per ambush will be varied.

Known Issues

Fate of the Damned

  • The braziers on islands do not visibly represent the colour of the Flame of Fate. The braziers will also flicker intensely at the end of a Voyage.
  • The red, pink, green and white lanterns are missing across the respective Voyages.
  • Merrick’s Voyage - Handing in another crew’s old boot for the first time will grant the player 10k gold.
  • Merrick’s Voyage - Player will receive two maps after giving Merrick his boot instead of one and one of these maps will not work.
  • Merrick’s Voyage – Players will be unable to take the Flames of Fate after migration.
  • Devils Roar Voyage – Lanterns and Map Fragments can be placed so the player cannot interact with them or appear partially submerged in the floor.
  • When speaking to campaign NPCs, their contextual dialogue does not currently update as crews progress through the Voyages.
  • Duke Voyage - One of the Map pieces can spawn in the floor on Castaway Isles. 
  • Fate of the Damned Voyages still have placeholder text in the Mercenary Tab.

Challenges of the Damned

  • When completing challenges there will be no pop up to show that the Soulflame Weapons have been acquired.
  • Many challenges will have defeat “X” when there should be a number.
  • The “Slayer of Fate” challenge is completed by killing one Shadow of Fate and once complete will no longer be shown in the reward tab.
  • The Face of Fear does not unlock after completing any of the Voyages.
  • The “From Beyond the Grave” and the “Voyages of the Damned” challenges do not tick up.

Larinna’s Black Market

  • Larinna’s Black Market is showing the incorrect contents for the week of the Fate of the Damned that is active.

Migration

  • Players wearing a crew costume will sometimes have the costume unequip after migration.
  • Migration causes Tall Tale NPCs to vanish from Outposts, and any dropped loot on the floor vanishes for the player.

Tall Tales

  • During the Shroudbreaker Tall Tale, the Ancient Chest will disappear and cause the Tale to be failed. 
  • During the Heart of Fire Tall Tale if a player migrates with the Mysterious Key the Tall Tale cutscenes will no longer trigger and the player will no longer be able to progress.

Weapon SFX

  • The animation flickers when firing and then reloading the Pistol and Blunderbuss.

Korean Language

  • Players who have their language set to Korean are unable to offer their soul to the Ferryman.

Fixed Issues

General

  • When cooking on a ship, players will now correctly see the cooking SFX.

Fate of the Damned

  • The event text in the Info Panel in the Bilge Rat shop is no longer placeholder. 
  • The Mysterious Note clues, for Duke’s Fate of the Damned Voyage no longer has placeholder assets.
  • New players should no longer encounter ambient Shadows of Fate during their onboarding Voyage.
  • Players should now be rewarded with the Soulflame Cutlass when completing four of the daily challenges.
  • The “Light all beacons within a sea with certain colour lantern” challenges should now unlock when the requirements are met.

Treasure Vaults

  • Rowboats should no longer clip through the Ancient Vaults door.
  • There should be help text stating that 'This Vault is currently unavailable' if a player tries to open a Treasure vault that is in use by a Tall Tale.

Mysterious Notes

  • Players should now have a wakeup animation, auto-wield the notes, and have a pop-up that’s says they have received a mysterious note, when waking up I the Tavern.

Pirate Emporium

  • Player’s hands should no longer clip through the Skeleton Dog when it is carried.
