# Insider Patch Notes 2.0.17.9

Insider Update 2.0.17.9 is now live - Gold Hoarder Vaults are back and with new Commendations! Talk to Larinna in the Tavern to pick up your Voyage and follow the Wayfinder Compass to discover buried maps that lead you to a vault filled with gold and loot galore.

Before you sail out on to the seas, head over to the Pirate Emporium to check out the latest in emotes and Sea of Thieves fashion.

## Treasure Vaults

**Gold Hoarder Vaults**

* The Wayfinder Compass needle now gives more feedback as to where players will need to dig within the dig radius. It will spin faster when they are at the right spot, and slower when they are not.
* The Treasure Vault door gets jammed as its closing and then frees itself periodically. It now has visual feedback to let players know when it is about to free itself from its jammed state and start closing again.
* When nearing the location of a torn map piece a Gold Hoarders shovel can be found nearby indicating the dig area.
* The “Ancient Vault Sails” and “Ancient Vault Tribute Sails” are now available from the Outpost Shipwrights once the unlock criteria have been met.
* A range of Commendations are now available within the Gold Hoarders Reputation tab for taking on the Wayfinder Voyages and venturing into the Treasure Vaults.

## Pirate Emporium

5100 Ancient Coins have been applied to Insider accounts to enable testing of all new additions to the Pirate Emporium in this build.

**Shrouded Ghost Ship Collection**

* With August’s****Hunters of the Deep****event****introducing this mysterious ship, you can now pick up the remaining items with the Shrouded Ghost Ship Collection. A Shrouded Ship Bundle is also on offer which includes all the regular ship cosmetics at a discount!

**Shrouded Ghost Costume**

* Dress up as everyone’s favorite fabled creature and roam the seas hunting for enemies, loot, and the shrouded creature herself.

**Shrouded Ghost Blunderbuss**

* Defend yourself against enemies with the deadly bite of this Blunderbuss!

**Hunters Call Emote Bundle**

* Calling all budding Hunters, Chefs and Pirate Foodies - these four new emotes show your passion for the open seas.

**Stand Up to Cancer Charity**

* The Charity tab has been reintroduced to the Pirate Emporium, offering a new item in support of another great cause. Purchase the Sails of Union and all proceeds from the purchase are donated to Stand Up to Cancer Charities ([https://standuptocancer.org/](https://standuptocancer.org/)). **Dog Outfits**

* Your dogs will go barking mad for these new dog outfits available in the Pirate Emporium! New dog Kraken outfits and for those Athena’s Fortune rank 20 Ghost outfits are now available.

**Free Giveaway Emote**

* You’ll find the new Dog Dance emote available for free in the Pirate Emporium.

## Updates

**Single Stick Camera Accessibility**

* Using the left trigger in Single Stick mode will swap player movement to the camera to be able to look around. When using this, players will be stuck on the spot and will only be able to look around.
* The left trigger is mapped to a different button if the player chooses. This feature also gives players the option to choose whether they would like to require the button to be held, toggled, or be turned off.
* Players also have the option to turn off ‘auto-float’ and ‘auto-centre-camera' which will give them the ability to swim down into shipwrecks.

**Mysterious Note Non-Verbal Phrases**

* Contextual non-verbal messages are now available when wielding a Mysterious Note.

## Known Issues

**Gold Hoarder Voyage**
****

* When migrating with a Wayfinder Voyage active the previous server will crash.
* Islands selected for the Gold Hoarders Voyage do not show on the map.
* X's do not cover the shovel images when a dig site is complete. 
* The Treasure Vaults in Devils Roar are currently a work in progress and may cause safe teleporting.

**Pirate Emporium**

* The Pirate Emporium currently uses a range of placeholder imagery.
* When purchasing a Captain & Crew Bundle, the crew costumes are currently not available to crew members when checking their clothing chests.
* The Shrouded Ghost Collectors Ship items are currently setup with the Sea of Sands Collectors' items. 
* The Ashen Winds Extended Sale is still in effect across the Pirate Emporium and has yet to be removed.

**Mysterious Notes**

* When a player dies the Mysterious Notes will no longer be in the radial. 
* Mysterious Notes remain in the quest radial when completed.
* Mysterious Notes currently use a range of placeholder assets.

## Fixed Issues

**General**

* The ‘Mute All Other Crew’ Voice Chat option should no longer enable itself during game sessions. 
* Skeletons will animate as intended when eating a banana.
* Loot items will no longer float up into the sky after digging them up.
* Ghost Ships will no longer spawn on Islands that have players already on them. 
* Throwing a Blunderbomb will no longer alter players positions in the air or push them into a safe teleport while on land. 
* Mermaid Statues should now deal damage even when the player is underwater.
* When visiting Duke at his new location on the lagoon of Whispers, players should hear Duke's cheerful old voice over lines when interacting with him.

**Gold Hoarder Voyage**

* The Wayfinder compass now uses a smoother movement when on the correct island and approaching the dig site.
* Torn Map Pieces will now use Gold Hoarder themed Message in a Bottle visuals once uncovered.
* Players who become trapped inside the Treasure Vault as it locks will now drown.
* Loot placed near the vault door will no longer disappear once the door closes shut.
* Larinna should now accept Ashen Chests, Ashen Keys or Ashen Tomes.

**Pirate Emporium**

* The final loading screens and front-end artwork for the September update are now visible.
