Insider Update 2.0.16.1 is now live and Ashen Lords are back - traverse the seas towards the looming skull cloud to battle against these flaming foes!

Ashen Lords
- *Ashen Lords VFX *– The summoning ritual during the beginning phase of the Ashen Lord encounter now has improved models and VFX.
- Ashen Lord Encounter – When the Ashen Lord is defeated, geysers will now erupt nearby and push up treasure rewards from out of the ground.
Accessibility
- Improved Narration – When enabling “Let Games Read to me” there is now screen narration when an Arena contest starts.
- Non-verbal radial Narration – When enabling “Let Games Read to me” there is improved screen narration when navigating the non-verbal radial. It will now read out the number of the highlighted radial selection as “Option X out of X”.
- Improved Narration – When enabling "Let Games Read to me" there is improved screen narration when navigating menus and settings.
Updates
- Emissary UI – The Emissary meter UI now has a revised circular design, replacing the previous flag implementation.
- Improved Text Size – Improvements have been made to the text sizes on the title screen.
Known Issues
- Ghost Ship Voyages – The Ghost Ship Voyage map does not update with new location after migrating to a server with an emergent encounter.
- Ashen Lords VFX – The visual effects surrounding the Ashen Lords are larger than intended.
- Ashen Lord Encounter - The VFX for the fire rock projectile is a flat plane, which is very noticeable on uneven surfaces.
Fixed Issues
General
- It is no longer possible to hit enemies through the floorboards on all ship types.
- When in combat underwater, Blunderbombs and Firebombs can still be used no matter how deep the player swims.
- There is now a contextual non-verbal radial when climbing up the ladder to the crow’s nest.
- The “Curse of the Foul Grog” and the “Curse of the Dancing Demons” will now track correctly.
- When rebinding the non-verbal radial to not using the “A” button or the Spacebar players are now able to jump when using the non-verbal radial.
- Improved text visibility for longer reward item names in the contextual non-verbal radial.
- An error message now shows when the player is missing game files or game files are corrupted.
Ashen Lords
- Explosion VFX now appears for molten fire rock explosions.
- The is now fiery VFX trails shown on the rocks thrown by Ashen Lords.
Ghost Ships
- Reward markers will no longer remain in the world after all loot has sank.
- There is no longer a circle that shows around Flameheart when viewed through fog or the storm.
- Flameheart will no longer say Alliance and ship joining battle lines when an AI ship enters the area.
- New crews entering the Ghost Ship encounter will now trigger Flameheart’s intro voice over.
- Emissary reputation is now given for completing the Ghost Ship Encounter.
- Flameheart will no longer say Alliance battle lines when a ship raising the Alliance flag.
