Order of Souls Voyages
The Order of Souls are alert to the threat the looming fleet of Ghost Ships poses to the Sea of Thieves and are recruiting pirates to fend them off.
- Order of Souls Voyages – New Ghost Ship Voyages are available from Order of Souls representatives, tasking you to take on fleets of Ghost Ships, and available to any pirate who has reached Rank 25 or above within the company.
- Voyage Rewards – These ghost fleets will reward pirates with loot upon defeat, however in smaller numbers than emergent Ghost Ship Encounters.
- Duke’s Black Market – All ranks of the Order of Souls Ghost Ship voyages will be available from Duke.
In future Insiders builds, the Order of Souls representatives will always offer a guaranteed mix of voyages and bounties. However, until then, Duke will stock the full range to aid in testing.
Ghost Ships
Flameheart’s power rises! As his influence across the Sea of Thieves escalates, the infamous spectre is summoning long lost vessels from the Sea of the Damned to his service…
- Flameheart's Fury – A ghostly image of Captain Flameheart signals the arrival of his fleet in our world. Follow it to find the island at which they're gathering and defend the seas, while this phantom Flameheart rages at you from the skies above.
- Ghost Ship Rewards – Phantoms now circle rewards dropped by defeated Ghost Ships in order to improve discoverability for the player.
- Ghost Ship Mines – The Ghost Ship mines left behind by the spectral fleet now have improved visibility and glow brightly to help players navigate around them.
- Ghost Ship Brigantine Balancing - Ghost Ships have had a further balancing pass against Brigs and will now have a slower fire rate and accuracy.
The team are continuing to assess your Insider feedback and tweak the balance of this emergent encounter across all ship types – head to the Feedback section to provide your feedback on the encounter!
Ashen Lords
Bodies wracked by a fiery blaze; the Ashen Lords have risen! Crews should prepare themselves for a new emergent threat as they head towards the looming skull cloud on the horizon…
- Ashen Lords – The Ashen Lords’ dialogue now change based on their health to indicate progress through the battle.
- Combat Balancing – As a result of player feedback we have increased the range of fire breath, the speed of the Ashen Lords, and the throwing range of fire rocks which now set fire to your ship. The knockback attack will now damage the players’ ship it is in range of the attack. The final fight stage has also been made shorter. This is to make the encounter feel more challenging and exciting!
- Placeholder Animations – There is a ritual animation for when the Ashen Lords first appear, this is currently a work in progress.
Emissary Ledgers
- Previous Ledger View – The Emissary Ledger now contains a new page, showing your final placement in the previous month’s Ledger.
