Insider Patch Notes 2.0.11.2
Insiders Update 2.0.11.2 is now live! While we are preparing February’s update for a future Insider build, we’re continuing to tackle quality of life improvements and bug fixes for Insider testing along with a new furry friend to keep you all company...
If you do encounter any bugs, then please head to the
Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Pirate Emporium
- Cats! – A new furry friend is stowed away onboard your ship; Insiders will now find they have a cat hiding inside their Pet Chest ready for testing! Note that this cat is a base model and texture and is not representative of the final release quality. For this Insiders Build your Cat can be found inside your Pet Chest and not purchased within the Pirate Emporium.
- Pirate Appearance Potion – Pirates now have access to a Pirate Appearance Potion for sale within the Pirate Emporium. This potion will allow a player to change their pirate’s appearance while retaining their currency, progress and purchases. For this Insiders Build the Pirate Appearance Potion has been reduced to zero Ancient Coins to facilitate Insider testing.
Updates
- Chain Shot Range – Chain Shot travel range has been reduced.
- Chain Shot Audio - Once the Chain Shot has been launched from a cannon, players will hear a distant flight loop, as well as a chain rattling sound.
- Flintlock & Eye of Reach Knockback – Both the Eye of Reach and Flintlock now produce knockback on successfully hitting an enemy player. While Flintlock knockback is applied only at close range, Eye of Reach knockback scales across close to mid-range. A clutch close-range shot will apply a larger knockback to create distance between an approaching player, whereas a mid-range shot with an Eye of Reach will improve the stopping power of the weapon.

Known Issues
- Pirate Emporium – The Pirate Emporium contains Placeholder Content – The Pirate Emporium has been opened up to Insiders for testing the Pirate Appearance Potion, however, also contains a range of placeholder content and imagery which is not expected to be tested at this time. Please hold back on feedback and bug reports for placeholder Pirate Emporium content.
- Cosmetics - Equipped cosmetics do not persist between sessions – Some players may find that after equipping cosmetics then leaving the game, those cosmetics will no longer be equipped after logging back in.
